Effective now, fasp™ 1.x enters extended support, meaning that Aspera will continue to support the fasp™ 1.x product line but patch and maintenance releases will no longer be provided, and support and maintenance for fasp™ 1.x products will only be renewable through July 1st, 2009.

Starting with fasp™ 2.1 products, backward compatibility may require a special installation procedure and will not be activated by default.
