The Aspera Orchestrator is a web-based application and SDK platform for creating and managing automated Aspera file transfer workflows.

The software includes an interactive designer for easy authoring of complex workflow sequences, a powerful, built-from-scratch engine for logical execution of file-based workflows, a browser interface for monitoring active workflows, and a rich library of plug-ins for leading transcoding, quality control, virus scanning, ad insertion, and digital fingerprinting solutions.

Current customer deployments are utilizing third-party plugins developed for purpose-built solutions by Interra Systems, Microsoft, Symantec, McAfee, BigBand Networks, Telestream, Rhozet, Seachange, Pilat Media, and several others.

File Processing Decision Tree and Flow

• Core software engine (created from scratch by Aspera)
  supports logical execution of tasks and advances files through workflow. 

• Conditional rules-based execution. Rules can bind inputs to actions on-the-fly. For example, inputs for workflow steps such as desired formats or output pathnames can be derived from aspects of previous steps, such as their output, transfer attributes, extracted metadata, or user input received.

• Supports parallel execution of all actions concurrently.

• Integrates human interactive input with the automated execution. For example, workflow steps can prompt for human input with result providing conditional input for next execution step such as in quality control decisions.

Intuitive Graphical Workflow Designer

• Browser interface for drag-and-drop composition of workflows including action type, logical sequence, inputs, actions and outputs.
