The screen shot below illustrates the Aspera Plug-in for Avid Transfer Manager for seamless, high-performance fasp transfers between remote Avid workgroups. From an Avid editing station (e.g. Media Composer), editors can send content to a remote Unity system (with automatic check-in to the Avid Media Manager), or send the content to any other host that has Aspera Scp installed. No specialized hardware or equipment is required; the Aspera Scp endpoint can be any existing commodity PC, Mac, or Unix workstation. The Plug-in integrates the Scp Point-to-Point application with Avid Transfer Manager, allowing any Avid editing application to send to any other remote host in the network using Aspera's high speed transfer capability. Deployment requires one Plug-in and one instance of Aspera Scp for Point to Point per Avid Workgroup served by a Transfer Manager and Aspera Scp for Point to Point for alternate receiving endpoints.
