The Aspera Enterprise Server is a universal file transfer server combining high-speed, secure fasp transport with exceptional transfer management features for enterprise and consumer-scale applications. All common transfer models, such as upload, download, and automatic push and pull through hot folders, and all Aspera client applications are supported. The performance scales well for individual high-bandwidth transfers, as well as many concurrent transfers at broadband speeds. All fasp transfers are manageable in real-time from a browser using the Central Console, or programmatically, through an open web services (SOAP) API.
From the Central Console, administrators can graphically monitor individual flow rates and aggregate bandwidth usage, and pre-set and adjust on-the-fly individual transfer speeds, bandwidth sharing policies and delivery deadlines. Transfer bandwidth caps may be configured per transfer or in aggregate. All transfer details are logged to an SQL database (Aspera or customer-provided) for flexible, customizable reporting. Complete user authentication and authorization using standard system authentication and access control is built-in. Through a SOAP API for authorization, client requests can be seamlessly authorized against external authorization databases and custom applications.
File delivery applications benefit from superior transfer performance and precise, on-the-fly rate control regardless of the end user's network type (cable modem, DSL, wireless, etc.), quality (commodity or provisioned), or distance (domestic or international.)

Benefits for Service Providers
Benefits for Enterprises
The Enterprise Server consists of a core fasp transfer server installed on the serving computers, e.g. in the data center, and a suite of built-in management capabilities. The server is an upload and download target for any Aspera client application -- the Scp client, the Connect web client, and embedded SDK clients -- and may be used to push and pull content from remote endpoints with Aspera software installed. Transfers may be driven interactively through a GUI, automatically with scheduling through hot-folders, and programmatically through the SOAP API.
The server can be configured to log all transfer history to a local or remote SQL database for ready generation of custom audit and billing reports. Support for email notification filtered by transfer attribute, such as user, client IP, or filename, and customizable pre and post-processing capabilities are also built-in. For "high availability" deployments, the server software supports installation on multi-node clusters. The SOAP API provides complete transfer initiation and management control to third party applications.
The Aspera Enterprise Server is available on a per-seat software license basis for all major operating systems (Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP, Linux, Macintosh OS X, FreeBSD, and Solaris). Each version comes as a standard installable package for that operating system, and is available through software download from Aspera. Aspera Faspex and the web client access licenses are available as add-on capabilities. To request more information on pricing or an evaluation, please contact sales@asperasoft.com.
